FOOD!

ok so a few dishes from the beach wedding from my oh so creative, not caterers (I know...so hard to believe), aunts...:) The Cake, though was created by the groom's mom with real seashells but graham cracker crumbs as sand. The starfish is actually chicken salad with crackers crumbled on top. Oh the pineapple, was actually a keylime dip, mmmmmmm, and the fishy creature was a dip. A few other items were crab stuffed mushrooms, shrimp with a teriyaki sauce, chocolate cups.ALL the food was oh so delicious!!! Everyone thought it was professionally catered, but I guess there is just so much talent that runs through the family!

Bday present

This is something I have started making as gifts for birthdays. I usually add three clips but this board was a bit smaller than I have made in the past. This one is also the first blue I made and I think it has inspired me to make one for my own Levi! It is perfect for all their artwork!

She's a Princess!

This is the latest birthday invite for a Cinderella party. It has some 3-d elements to it to make it appear to be 3 dimensional, but it was actually just a flat card on photo paper. I tried it in blue and in pink.

Happy Valentine's Day!

So these are the valentine's we did this year. Levi wrote on each card and I added the verse for him. In addition, I cut out the front of each bag in the shape of a heart and put clear cellophane over it. I also cut down each bag so they weren't so tall, cut out patterned paper to add a little decor and viola!...beautiful bags to hold the strawberry muffins we made. I put tissue in the bottom of the bag before inserting the muffin and we also put mini candies inside each bag. I covered each candy with mailing labels that I printed with a valentine pattern. Soooo cute.... Hope your Valentine's Day is oh so sweet!

Yee Haw!

I thought this turned out really cute! She is having a western theme birthday party and needed just the right invitation...I did a couple before I actually got it right! :-) The first was a horse that the legs actually folded so it could stand up...3D, then I did a sparkly boot, really cute!, but this was the winner with the adorable cowgirl! :)

New Assignment!

Birthday Party invites! So, my cousin is having a "build a purse" birthday party and wanted a purse invite...and flyer to match... so here's the pocket book... lots of glitter for preteen girls and this was more fun because I got to do a "scrapbookish" type card...a change from the photo cards that I love doing at Christmas...oh, I also did variations of this by switching around the patterns and ribbon and using blue flowers sometimes rather than pink...the party information actually slides out the top so the card itself doesn't even open...they turned out soooo cute and perfect in a 5x7 envelope! you can click on it to see it up close. I also did a flyer type card for invited adults with no children...
